5-day Uganda flying gorilla and chimpanzee trekking safari

The 5-day Uganda flying gorilla and chimpanzee trekking safari is a combined primate expedition that provides an opportunity to encounter two captivating primate species: the endangered mountain gorillas and chimpanzees. This safari includes visits to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Kibale National Park.

Uganda is home to fifty percent of the global population of mountain gorillas, residing in the forested highlands of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, located in the southwestern region of Uganda. Mountain gorillas inhabit social groups, and within Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, several habituated groups are designated for mountain gorilla trekking safaris. The mountain gorillas comprise the Mubare, Habinyanja, Rushegura, Bitukura, Oruzogo, Nkuringo, Nshongi, Mishaya, Kahungye, Bweza (Rushaga), Busingye, Kyaguriro, Christmas, and Katwe families, located within the park’s four sectors: Buhoma, Rushaga, Ruhija, and Nkuringo.

5-day Uganda flying gorilla and chimpanzee trekking safari includes trekking gorillas and chimpanzees, as well as a visit to Kibale National Park for chimpanzee tracking. Kibale National Park is a densely forested area featuring extensive tracts of rainforest located in western Uganda. This park hosts 13 primate species, including a substantial number of chimpanzees.

5-day Uganda flying gorilla and chimpanzee trekking safari utilizes domestic aircraft, specifically provided by Aero Link, from Entebbe International Airport to Kasese Airstrip, facilitating access to Kibale National Park. Flights from Entebbe International Airport to Kihihi Airstrip are available for access to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
