3 Days Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater Safari
Day 1: Arusha to Serengeti
A professional driver-guide will greet you at your accommodation in Arusha or upon your arrival at the airport, providing a warm welcome and a briefing on the 3-Day Ngorongoro and Serengeti safari to prepare you mentally for this extraordinary African adventure.
Your journey to Serengeti will commence by traversing Ngorongoro Crater, where you will observe the splendor of Africa, characterized by stunning landscapes, plentiful wildlife, and varied cultures along the road. As you pass through communities between the parks, you will arrive at the park in the late afternoon and check into your hotel for a late lunch.
Afternoon game drive to observe substantial herds of buffalo, congregations of elephants and giraffes, thousands of antelopes, lions, wildebeest, topi, and impala, among others. Evening meal and accommodation.
Day 2: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
Following an early breakfast at the resort, we will proceed to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We will make a stop at Olduvai Gorge (optional), which has a history that extends to the beginning of time. Here, researchers Drs. Louis and Mary Leakey uncovered the skulls of ‘Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handyman’, recognized as early hominins.
We will reach the lodge in time for lunch, after which we will descend almost 550 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater to observe wildlife for the remainder of the day. Ngorongoro National Park, sustained by a perennial water supply and ample food, harbors a diverse array of fauna, including herds of wildebeest, eland, warthog, zebra, buffalo, hippopotamus, and large African elephants, as well as lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and leopards. Subsequently, we will explore Lake Magadi, a substantial although shallow alkaline lake located in the southwestern quadrant, which constitutes one of the primary characteristics of the crater. A significant population of flamingos, hippos, and various aquatic birds are typically observed in this location. Evening meal and accommodation for the night.
Day 3: Ngorongoro to Arusha
On this day, you will rise early for breakfast and subsequently drive back to Arusha for your departure. Conclusion of the 3-Day Ngorongoro and Serengeti safari.
