Directions to Kalangala Island

Travel from Entebbe to Port Alice in Nakiwogo, where you may opt to board the economical government-operated MV Ferry Kalangala, which departs daily at 2 pm (arrive early to complete the registration process). The voyage on the MV Kalangala lasts approximately 3 to 4 hours, contingent upon the current weather conditions on the Lake.

If your money permits, you may choose to board the more opulent privately owned MV Vannesa or Nathalie, which completes the journey from Entebbe to Kalangala in just 1.5 hours.
