Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

On the day you arrive, an organization official and the driver/guide will greet you and transport you to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest park. The park serves as a habitat for creatures such as elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and many species of antelopes. During the journey, you will visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a 2 to 3-hour rhino tracking experience, followed by lunch in Masindi town. Enter the park to locate your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay at Paraa Safari Lodge.

Day 2: Morning game drive, cruise at the base of the falls, and hiking.

Day 2 of 7 Days Uganda wildlife Safari tours,  Following an early breakfast, you will embark on a game drive along the Northern Bank of the River Nile. The activity lasts approximately 3 to 5 hours, and the park’s wildlife comprises elephants, Rothschild giraffes, buffaloes, lions, hartebeests, Uganda kobs, oribis, and waterbucks. Upon completion of the drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon, go on a boat tour on the Nile, offering an exhilarating panoramic view of the majestic Murchison Falls. During the tour, you will observe crocodiles, hippos, and many birds along the riverbanks, including kingfishers, cormorants, bee-eaters, and the rare shoebill stork. Commence at the base of the falls and ascend by Baker’s Trail, observing the splendid Murchison Falls from several vantage points as water cascades over distinct rapids, transitioning from a 7-meter gap to a drop exceeding 40 meters into the gorge. Subsequently, rendezvous with your driver at the summit of the falls and proceed to the resort for supper and overnight accommodations as previously mentioned.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Rise early, consume breakfast, and subsequently meet your guide or driver. Subsequently, commence an all-day trip to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The park is situated in western Uganda, namely in the Kasese district, with lunch provided en route. Arrive in the park in the late evening. Retreat to your lodge for leisure, dinner, and an overnight stay at Park View Safari Lodge.

Day 4: Tracking of Chimpanzees and Boat Safari

Day 4 of 7 Days Uganda wildlife Safari tours, Following breakfast in the jungle at dawn, you will set out for chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge within Queen Elizabeth National Park, equipped with your tracking gear. Throughout the expedition, you will descend into a gorge, observing a vibrant, mature tropical forest flourishing below sea level, which sustains populations of chimpanzees. Hiking the gorge’s steep inclines in pursuit of the chimpanzees is arduous, although the ultimate sighting provides a lasting memory, as one observes them frolicking on tree branches and emitting pant-hoots, alongside the black-and-white colobus monkeys and olive baboons. The duration of the trek often ranges from 2 to 5 hours.

Upon completion of the tracking, return to the lodge to rejuvenate before embarking on an afternoon boat excursion around the Kazinga Channel. Queen Elizabeth National Park possesses the largest density of hippos in Africa. During the boat ride, you will have the opportunity to observe that. Other aquatic creatures, such as crocodiles, will be observed. Wildlife such as cape buffaloes, African elephants, and giraffes will also be observed at the lake’s banks. Day 5: Transition to Bwindi Forest

Day 6: Gorilla expedition in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Following breakfast and a briefing from the UWA staff, we embarked on the gorilla tracking expedition early in the morning. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and an indelible trip. The ranger escorts will escort you into the dense jungle to commence your quest for the endangered Mountain Gorillas. You will traverse the uneven terrain until you encounter these peaceful beings, who will amuse you with performances for almost one hour.
The duration of the exercise may range from 2 to 8 hours, contingent upon the mobility of the gorillas. It was a remarkable and exhilarating occasion. Along the journey, various additional primate species, including monkeys and birds, can be observed. Upon completion of the walk, you will obtain your Gorilla trekking certificate and reconvene with your driver/guide to return to the lodge, where you will have the evening free for leisure activities. Day 7: Return to Kampala (9 hours)
