Why trek gorillas twice (double gorilla trekking )
Typically, the majority of tourists visiting Uganda or Rwanda will engage in a single day of gorilla trekking before moving on to a different tour activity or returning home. There are several compelling reasons why you ought to seriously think about trekking the gorillas twice on your gorilla trekking tour in Africa
Mountain gorillas, like to humans, reside in family groups within the jungle. Every family, including ours, exhibits distinct behavior while interacting with humans. By visiting the mountain gorillas on two separate occasions, you increase your chances of observing and understanding the various characteristics of these creatures, which is not possible for someone who simply goes on a single day excursion. If you previously went on a gorilla trek with a small family, on the second attempt we will aim to get you on a walk with a larger gorilla family.
Although it may appear to be more expensive, trekking the gorillas twice during a single visit to Africa could really result in financial savings. Over the years, we have observed numerous instances of individuals making multiple visits, seeking a distinct experience from their initial one. By efficiently mobilizing funds and organizing many gorilla treks in Africa during a single visit, you can significantly reduce expenses related to flight tickets, time, hotels, and other logistical aspects of scheduling a gorilla trekking holiday in Uganda or Rwanda.
Engaging in a second gorilla trip provides a solution to counteract the negative impacts of unfavorable weather conditions and the potentially problematic behavior of “difficult” gorillas that may arise during a single gorilla journey. Bwindi is an Afromontane rainforest that experiences consistent rainfall throughout the year, regardless of whether it is a dry or wet season. The likelihood of seeing rainfall during your gorilla trip in Bwindi is highly uncertain. Gorillas exhibit distinct behaviors in both arid and humid climates. Precipitation could potentially impact the caliber of your gorilla images. Opting for a second gorilla excursion significantly increases the likelihood of capturing diverse gorilla habitats in your photos.
