Detailed Itinerary for an Amazing 10 days Wildlife Safari in Uganda

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe

Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, a company representative will be ready to escort you to your accommodation in either Entebbe or Kampala. You will have a refreshing cold juice crafted from fresh fruits, check into your accommodations, and partake in leisurely activities such as a massage or sauna. Subsequently, you will partake in dinner and reside for the night.

Day 2: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Following breakfast, we will commence our expedition to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park via the western highlands of Uganda, often referred to as the Switzerland of Africa, where one may appreciate breathtaking vistas of the Virunga Volcanoes in Rwanda and the Congo.

We will pause for lunch in one of the villages we traverse before descending into the valley to arrive at Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, the native habitat of the endangered Mountain Gorillas. We will pause at Katereke, a designated site along the Kabaka’s Trail Heritage route. Accommodation is provided overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp, Mahogany Springs Lodge, Gorilla Mist Camp, or Buhoma Community Rest Camp, with full board included.

Day 3: Gorilla Tracking Expedition - Bwindi Forest

On Day 3, you will commence early with a substantial breakfast to equip you for a distinctive wildlife encounter — gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. At 8:00 am, you will convene with your guides at the ranger station, who will escort you into the dense forest. Locating the gorillas may involve two to eight hours, necessitating a moderate level of athleticism and appropriate hiking footwear. The thrill of encountering these remarkable animals renders the effort worthwhile.

Upon discovering them in their enigmatic habitat, you will observe them as they murmur amongst themselves, and you cannot help but admire the immense stature of the dominating male, the silverback. Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Evening and/or Night Safari

On Day 4, following breakfast, you will depart from Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and proceed northward to Queen Elizabeth National Park, traversing Ishasha along the way. Ishasha is renowned for its tree-climbing lions, which you might be fortunate to observe during your journey.

Upon arrival at Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will settle into your lodge and have the opportunity to refresh before commencing an evening wildlife drive. The game drive offers an opportunity to observe diverse species, including elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and predators such as lions, leopards, and hyenas. Following the chimpanzee excursion, you will return to the resort for lunch. On the boat excursion, you will get the chance to observe diverse animals, including hippos and buffaloes, which are commonly found in shallow waterways. The region hosts more than 600 avian species, rendering it an ideal destination for ornithology aficionados. Day 6: Ndali Lodge

Day 8: Murchison Falls National Park

Commence the day with a delectable breakfast and get ready yourself for an extensive yet picturesque trek to Murchison Falls National Park. Experience an 8-hour journey through the rural regions of Uganda and its trading cities, while appreciating the vistas of Lake Albert. Murchison Falls National Park is famous for its diverse wildlife, and upon arrival, you will register at the Paraa Safari Lodge.

During the journey, you will pause at the summit of the falls to observe the Nile, the longest river globally, cascading into a spectacular waterfall.
